Fire/EMS – Rockaway

Located at 4806 Rockaway Beach Blvd, in Far Rockaway, Queens New York, this new 19,958 sf facility was the first to combine the FDNY and EMS services.

The structure itself consisted of a multi-story structural steel frame, reinforced concrete and masonry superstructure constructed on a pile supported foundation with reinforced concrete pile caps and grade beams.

Additional work on the project included the removal of an existing reinforced concrete foundation and other demolition debris, the removal of site stored construction materials, the furnishing and installation of an underground fuel tank and fuel dispensing system, site utilities including storm water detention tanks, architectural and security fencing, paved parking areas and landscaping.
